NAMI Wake County serves residents across Wake County with free mental health support, online groups, resources and education. Website

  • Trauma-Sensitive Yoga. Trauma-Sensitive Yoga is offered in partnership with the UNC Center for Excellence in Community Mental Health and led by certified instructor Megan Wheeler. Series run for eight weeks, with classes provided at no cost. Space is limited, and registration is required. Learn more and register.
  • List of Digital Safe Spaces. In partnership with the City of Raleigh Parks, Recreation, and Cultural Resources Department, we are offering locations in parks and community centers across the county where you can access free wifi from the privacy of your own car! Learn more.
  • Online support groups with free weekly meetings:
    • Stress and Anxiety Group. The Virtual Support Group for Stress & Anxiety offers a welcoming, judgment-free space for adults experiencing ongoing stress or anxiety or feeling overwhelmed. Held weekly on Mondays from 6-7:30PM ET via Zoom. Participants connect with others who understand their experiences and gain support, encouragement, and practical coping strategies. This group is fully virtual, making it easy to join from wherever you feel most comfortable. Learn more.
    • Connection Support Group. The NAMI Connection Recovery Support Group is a free, peer-led support group for any adult who has experienced symptoms of a mental health condition. Meetings are held weekly on Wednesdays from 7-8:30PM via Zoom. You will gain insight from hearing about others’ challenges and successes, and the groups are led by trained leaders who’ve been there. Learn more.
    • Family Support Group. NAMI Family Support Group is a peer-led support group for any adult with a loved one who has experienced symptoms of a mental health condition. Meetings are held weekly on Tuesday from 7-8:30PM ET via Zoom.
