Class Description: Inspired by the choreographic research of Boreal, premiering at the NC Dance Festival on Oct. 2, this contemporary dance practice invites dancers to explore the body as living terrain. Through improvisation and phrase material, we’ll investigate how movement carries traces of care, adaptation, and transformation. Exploring musicality and relational memory through shifting and suspension, the class moves between grounded strength and expansive yielding, cultivating a practice that is both measured and imaginatively embodied.
